Kindra Ponzio Talks with Christine Price, Exec Dir, Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity. Price talks about the importance and impact that permanent housing has on a family and kids. She says that he kids usually improve their grades but more importantly, break the cycle of poverty and renting. Price also mentions that these homes are built and purchased at an affordable rate to people that are working but with low incomes. Many folks don't think they would qualify but she encourages people to apply anyway and may be surprised.
