Lexy Smith speaks with Major Sabrina Tumey, of the Salvation Army Grand Junction Corps serving Mesa, Delta, and Montrose Counties. The Salvation Army started in London in the 1800’s and is now a worldwide organization. While known for bellringing around the holidays they are supporting the community year-round. Tumey details the youth programs, and thrift stores as well as worship times. Tumey explains how volunteers are vital to handing out food boxes at the food panty and how to apply to help.
