Peter Kaye speaks with Len Crossman of Massachusetts Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and their 35-year history of teaching school children the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse. Crossman outlines how DARE has changed through the years emphasizing not only the dangers of particular substances, but also common influences kids have that can lead to poor decisions such as peer pressure, bullying, social media and more. He discusses the many school partnerships that DARE has across the commonwealth and encourages parent to connect with their local law enforcement to start a DARE program near them.
