Ron Turner talks with David Siegel, Executive Director at the Housing Authority of the County of Dekalb. Services are provided for people at the poverty level and the agency works with H.U.D. to provide funding for Section 8 housing. Siegel says their biggest challenge is funding and keeping older buildings in good repair and making sure they are executing their programs with proper staff levels. Siegel also describes their “Lease in Place” voucher program which can helps people stay in their existing apartments. (https://dekcohousing.com)
