Jack Church spoke with Brian Knight, Senior Manager for the U.S.O. Sandhills Area Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Knight talked about the role the U.S.O. plays with active military and their families. The U.S.O. has been around since 1941 and offers dozens of programs. Knight said many often think of the U.S.O. entertainment shows from the 60s and 70s featuring people like Bob Hope. The U.S.O. still offers these programs but also helps soldiers transition from military life to civilian careers. Knight also said social media has been a huge change for how the U.S.O. promotes programs and connects with soldiers.
