Ron Turner talks with Frank Roe, Executive Director of Christian Care about the homeless population in Rock Island which based on the annual Point in Time survey is about 450 people. Roe explains the work involved to service those who are unsheltered and sadly reports there is a long waiting list of people who need to find housing. Roe talks about the commonalities between all who seek shelter though everyone has their differences. Roe explains the biggest challenge Christian Care experiences is the lack of affordable housing to help those in need step up to their next level in society and leave homelessness behind.
