Most people don’t think of Sadie Robertson Huff as a songwriter or a singer, but the popular author, speaker and podcast host is actually the mastermind behind LO Worship. Founded in 2020, LO Worship is the musical expression of Huff’s “Live Original” brand that includes books, a podcast, conferences and events. The former “Duck Dynasty” star and “Dancing with the Stars” finalist wanted to integrate original music into her faith-fueled offerings, particularly to complement her annual LO Conference. Thus, LO Worship was born. (“LO” being short for Live Original.)

Currently comprised of friends Reeves Walker, Kaylea Mayo and Laela Dasher, LO Worship writes and records original songs that specifically speak to this generation of young adults. Many of their recordings support key themes from Huff’s conference messages and provide a memorable souvenir not just for those who attend the event, but also a soundtrack for Gen Z.
Steeped in authenticity, LO Worship’s music encourages vulnerability in each individual’s relationship with God. “LO Worship is a group of friends, songwriters and musicians that I have gathered together to use their gifting to write songs which magnify Jesus and lead people to that encounter with Him,” Huff explains. “I started LO Worship because I wanted to write songs that support the messages that Live Original is already sharing: that one encounter with Jesus can change everything.”

The collective released their debut song, “Compass,” in 2020; and two years later, they dropped “Steady Light,” a five-track EP that includes current single of surrender “Open.” LO Worship has since expanded “Steady Light” into both a live album and then a deluxe edition. Taking notes from Passion Conference, they continue to release projects in tandem with their marquee events, LO Conference and LO Sister Conference. “Walk With You (Live From LO Conference)” serves as the group’s latest release, mirroring the worship and teaching attendees experienced at the 2024 installment. Huff continues to appear on songwriting credits and can sometimes even be casually heard on vocals as, together, the Louisiana native and LO Worship tackle important subjects like identity, calling and purpose through song.
