"I was thinking about something we talk about a lot in our group. Here are two burdens in this world. One burden you are meant to carry, the other burden you are not meant to carry. And it is very applicable to all of us I am sure, applicable to all people that create things, that make music, make art, they want It to be received, they want it to go well. They want to accomplish great things, or they want to be successful in whatever that means. We have talked about not carrying the burden of the outcome when writing these songs, we can’t be so anxious and uptight about whose going to hear it and how many are going to hear it, or how many people are going to stream it, but rather about carrying the burden of obedience.
For anyone out there who is living in a tension spot in their life, maybe living in an in-between spot in their life, or waiting moment in their life…you know we are only meant to carry one burden, the burden of obedience. Life calls us to do things, we need to do them with joy and it isn’t our job to worry about the outcome." - River Valley Worship
