Longtime friends Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham wrote the energetic, arena-ready “People of Heaven” right before they embarked on their first co-headlining tour, 2023’s inaugural “Summer Worship Nights.” This August, the pair of revered lyricists will reprise their collaborative trek and have once again teamed up to debut another original ahead of their upcoming outing. The result is “Love of God,” a new song that will undoubtedly be one of the most highly anticipated moments of “Summer Worship Nights” 2024.

A hymn-like offering of awe-inspiring wonder, “Love of God” is poised to become the next global anthem echoed around the world thanks to Lake and Wickham’s sincere vocals and brilliant lyrical twists and turns. With Lake helming the first verse and Wickham taking the reins on verse two, the beautifully stitched selection finds the esteemed worship leaders at the pinnacle of their craft. The two men penned “Love of God” with Cody Carnes and Benjamin William Hastings, and Air1 premiered the uplifting track during an exclusive Worship First event.

“Y’all, we love this song so much and cannot wait to hear the Church sing it with us!” Wickham enthuses. “Get ready to belt it out with us on the ‘Summer Worship Nights’ tour.”

The second consecutive installment of “Summer Worship Nights” will launch Aug. 1, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. Concluding in Hawaii, the tour will visit a total of 17 cities with hip-hop artist Hulvey providing direct support on all dates except Honolulu, where Hastings is scheduled to open for the duo.

While Lake and Wickham are regular collaborators, the “Love of God” singers are also both working on new music, respectively. Lake, who just released his first children’s book with his wife, Brittany, is set to unveil a fresh song titled “That’s Who I Praise” on July 29, 2024. The single drop follows his first live project, “Tear Off The Roof (Live From The Holy City),” recorded in his hometown of Charleston, S.C.
