Air1 New Song Feature: "Move of God" SEU Worship

SEU Worship pleads for a move of God on their new single. The collective sets the stage with a solid backdrop of drums, guitars and piano on “Move of God,” which also serves as the title-cut of the group’s 11th recording.

“The album, ‘Move of God,’ articulates the ongoing movement witnessed not only within our campus and community, but across the globe,” says SEU Worship’s Chelsea Plank of the group’s new 11-track project. “A powerful divine movement is underway. Reflecting on Matthew 5:8, which states that the pure in heart shall see God, this album serves as our prayer, urging us to dedicate ourselves to holiness, enabling us to truly perceive God. Through these songs, we ask the Lord to transform us into offerings, sanctify us like an upper room, purify us, and grant us the vision to perceive His movement and actively participate in it.”

Inspired by recent moves of God like the spiritual outpouring that broke out at Kentucky’s Asbury University and other college campuses across the nation, “Move of God” asks the Lord to let revival begin in our own hearts. The anthemic petition is led by key member David Ryan Cook.

Serving as the musical expression of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, SEU Worship is comprised of current students, faculty, staff and alumni, who are passionate about writing and recording original songs for the next generation. With a mission to craft music by students for students, the group leads worship weekly during the on-campus chapel service.

Earlier this year, the youthful collective had the opportunity to tour alongside some of their musical heroes, including Crowder, Lecrae, CAIN and more, when they were selected to be a part of the multi-artist lineup for Winter Jam, one of the largest annual tours in Christian music.

Up next, SEU Worship will co-headline a special evening of music with Red Rocks Worship for a one-night-only event Sept. 4, 2024, in their hometown of Lakeland.
