Lexy Smith speaks with Keith O’Brien, Executive Director for (CASA) Court Appointed Special Advocates of Clackamas County. The CASA program was founded by a judge in Seattle that is now a national program for foster children. O’Brien explains the role of the CASA volunteers as they speak on the foster child’s behalf. O’Brien shares how the volunteers work for a minimum of two years after training. O’Brien explains how the CASAs do the legwork to find out what each of the children needs are.
