Jeanice Lee talks to Alejandro Castro, President of Ruben Castro Charities. Ruben Castro was a long time Moorpark resident, business owner, veteran, and to some the unofficial mayor who would help anyone in need. He was the first Latino member of the Rotary Club, part of many boards, organizations, and clubs. Castro says today their food panty serves 300+ families at Moorpark College every Saturday. They have a diaper pantry and will connect people to additional services. Education is a big component to their work, and they are working on putting together a community farm.
