Jack Church talks with Jennifer Ayers, Executive Director for ALIVE! in Alexandria, Virginia. ALIVE is a non profit aimed at helping local residents struggling with food insecurity and other economic hardships thru a number of programs and services. Ayers said ALIVE! serves approximately 20 thousand local residents every month. In terms of getting food to the hungry, ALIVE! has several options including Food Hubs and Pop Up Food Distributions. They also provide ALIVE! House which provides up to 24 months of temporary housing and support for women and their families in emergency and transitional situations.
