Stars Go Dim serves as the moniker for Chris Cleveland, who also helped pen the original selection and leads the first verse. Cleveland previously recorded the wide, expansive song for Stars Go Dim’s latest release, “Grace in the Wilderness.”
Brimming with expectation, the triumphant offering brings to mind the verse in Isaiah 40:3 that says, “Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, ‘Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!’” Verse 5 affirms if we make space for God, we will hear from heaven: “‘Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!’”
Setting the table for revival, Stars Go Dim, Wohrle and The Church Will Sing join forces in an act of unity to acknowledge the faithfulness of God throughout history. As they look to the stories recorded in Scripture that share the testimonies of numerous biblical saints, they encourage believers to engage their faith and pray for a fresh renewal of God to fall on our cities, our churches and our families. The song is a reminder that God is always working, always moving and always ordering our steps.
Stars Go Dim is gearing up to release more new music in anticipation of Cleveland’s next studio project. In the meantime, the “You Are Loved” singer is previewing unreleased songs alongside hits from his catalog as he supports Jordan St. Cyr out on the road this fall on St. Cyr’s “My Foundation Tour.” With stops in 19 markets, the trek runs through November with a final show in Nashville right before Thanksgiving.
