Beloved Elevation Worship member Tiffany Hudson leads the charge on the faith-building track that initially became an anthem of hope for the months ahead when it was introduced at the top of the year at the group’s home base, Elevation Church. The recording now expands the song’s reach leaning into the truth of Isaiah 43:19: “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

The vibrant selection reminds us that our God is a God of the new. He’s always working. He’s always creating, and He’s always carving out streams of mercy in the midst of the cracked, barren ground of our lives.

“For anyone who’s feeling a little stuck or in a rut, I hope this song can be a prophetic word that God’s going to exceed your wildest dreams,” says the group’s Chris Brown. “He’s constantly turning things over and making new things out of old wineskins.”

In addition to Hudson’s signature vocals, “New Thing Coming” also features spontaneous vocals from Steven Furtick, marking the first time the Elevation Church pastor, visionary and lyricist has ever been credited on a track outside of his consistent contributions to songwriting and production.
