On Aug. 5, 2024, temperatures hovered in the mid 80s and a cool breeze settled over the desert of Morrison, Colorado, as music crews and Air1 artists carried out soundchecks in preparation for the second annual “Worship Now Live at Red Rocks.”

Gates opened at 5:30 p.m (MT) as guests arrived at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The naturally crafted venue is nestled in a range of mountains just 10 miles west of Denver, Colorado. It reaches 6,450 feet in elevation above sea level and seats 9,525 attendees, a stunning setting for the long-awaited event. With a beautiful location and a full roster of amazing artists to enjoy, the second annual “Worship Now Live at Red Rocks” promised to be a night of fun, fellowship and faith.
As fans began to arrive at the venue, they filled the seats like a sea of rain ponchos, prepared to enjoy a great show—no matter the weather the evening might hold. When the showtime came at 7 p.m., the venue was already at capacity.
Thrive Worship kicked things off with “Give Thanks.” Despite a bit of drizzle and a sprinkle of rain, there were hands raised from the first song and on!
With more uplifting versions of “Pour Your Spirit Out” and “Come Back,” the set from Thrive Worship proved to be a steady and tranquil opener to the show.

CAIN played from the B-Stage, which is located right in the middle of the crowd for maximum fun. The sibling trio thrilled the crowd as they walked out in full matching pink and orange hand-painted jumpsuits, with Logan Cain sporting “Air1 Worship Now Live at Red Rocks” custom-made sneakers!
The group kicked off their set with a high-energy rendition of “Rise Up” and the crowd went wild! Worshipers on all sides of the B-Stage sang along with excited energy as they rolled into their next song, “Friend of Jesus,” which opened with Taylor Cain beckoning: “Doesn’t it feel good to be a friend of Jesus tonight in this place?”
This was followed by an acoustic version of “I Surrender All/Honest Offering.” All through the rest of their set, CAIN showcased their ability to be fun and engaging with a wildly colored wardrobe; expressing just as loudly their hope that everyone in attendance might worship the Lord fully surrendered. CAIN ended their set with the jubilant “I’m So Blessed.”
By the end of their performance, a huge rainbow shone over the venue as the last remnants of the rain gave way to a bright summer sunshine, similar to the vibrant joy and uplifting presence CAIN brought on stage. Wow!

Red Rocks Worship took the stage next, noting the rainbow above the amphitheater as “another reminder that we serve a God who keeps his promises.”
Although they were performing in their hometown, the seasoned worship collective played with a passion intent to bring people into the presence of God—not celebrate their own success. Before performing the band’s last song, Tyler, one of the lead singers, gave a shout out to Air1, praising God for the opportunity to lead worship at a venue so important to Red Rocks Worship.
After singing through the doxology, the band went right into easily the most anticipated, and engaging moment in their set, as they ended on their massive hit, “Good Plans.” This song got everyone’s hands in the air!
During a brief intermission between Red Rocks Worship and Maverick City Music, event hosts CJ & Lauren from Air1 surprised one special listener with a fun memory she will cherish forever. The radio duo invited the young fan to come onto the stage and take a photo with them, spurring hundreds of people to cheer her on as she posed for the camera.

Maverick City Music served as this year’s “Live at Red Rocks” headliner band, and they did not disappoint. The collective brought a continually infectious and intriguing energy to the main stage with spontaneous worship moments amidst many of their well-known songs.
Before launching into “Story I’ll Tell,” lead singer Naomi Raine paused to encourage all 10,000 people in the venue to pray for one another, saying “I know we have a set list, but we also got to pray for each other.” Members of the band continued to speak over the crowd as others in the stands gathered together, lifting up their hands in faith for one another.
Following this powerful moment of prayer, the band launched into the bridge of their song “Story I’ll Tell,” as they sung the words, “My God did not fail, that’s the story I’ll tell.”
Later, as the group played their smash hit “Jireh,” stars hung over the amphitheater as fans sang the words “From the rising sun to the setting same, I will praise Your name.” The breathtaking scenery of Colorado, lit up from beneath by glowing cities under a night sky, created an extra profound moment for thousands of fans as they experienced the famous lyrics brought to life in real time.
Maverick City ended the night on a high note, playing “In The Room,” as fans felt the electricity of the moment, cheering, jumping and singing long after the band walked off to “Praise.”
