Joining forces under a shared banner of faith, Chandler Moore, Jordin Sparks and Anthony Gargiula form the trio we didn’t know we needed on Maverick City Music’s new single, “Constant.” The inspirational piano ballad speaks to the strength found in perseverance when we place our hope in the faithfulness of Jesus. Ebbing and flowing on a metaphor rooted in storm and sea imagery, “Constant” rolls onto shore with the assurance that we are held by our Creator, who is trustworthy, unyielding and good.

Sparks, an “American Idol” alum who’s also previously collaborated with for KING + COUNTRY, delivers the first verse with the vocal precision of the pro that she is. “I’ve been locked in this grief, but I’m not broken,” she sings. “Now the door is open.”
Meanwhile, Gargiula — a founding member of a cappella group EARCANDY and a rising solo pop sensation — leads the poetic second verse. Moore, who released his second solo project earlier this year, serves up a pairing of both rugged vocal and sweet melody right on his heels. Together, the three singers — all of whom are also credited as co-writers on the song — intertwine their harmonies to craft a moving original that’s positioned to reach a large audience well beyond the church walls with its universal themes of hardship and enduring faith.
Offering peace in the midst of the tempest, “Constant” is a refuge for the weary soul or anyone who has given up in the midst of trial.
“Family, we’re beyond excited to share this with you all!” Maverick City Music enthused upon the single’s release. “This song is a reminder of God’s faithfulness to us — in every wave and every storm, He remains constant through it all.”
A crossroads of different genres, styles and backgrounds, “Constant” continues to cement Maverick City Music’s mission to showcase a well of diverse talent and introduce listeners to artists beyond their traditional playlists.
