Although Scott says that the chorus and bridge, after the initial songwriting session, never changed he does remember that they spent almost a year working on the verses, agonizing over each line...
It was "Like packing a suitcase, we kept folding and refolding and refolding ... to get as much of the scripture in there as possible," Scott recalls. The song story, with all its nuances, is shared by Brooke and Scott in this New Song Cafe' film.
