Air1 New Song Feature: "Lift My Hands" Forrest Frank

Forrest Frank puts his innovative stamp on an unorthodox modern worship future hit with “Lift My Hands.” The bouncy hip-hop-inflected original was written solely by Frank and appears on his chart-topping full-length debut, “Child of God,” along with pop selections like “Good Day” and “Never Get Used To This (feat. JVKE).”

“Lift My Hands” begins with a shot of head-bopping gratitude as the breakthrough act expresses his thankfulness for the way God has made him brand new. Clever, catchy lyrics color the first two verses before a sparkling piano unwinds the melody into a reflective worship ballad. Hungry for the presence of God, the Texas native contends that praise is his only response to the God he so unabashedly follows.

The transforming power of Christ is the impetus for all of the buzzworthy act’s original songs. The 29-year-old is on an all-out mission to make Christian music “cool again,” and while the majority of his releases so far are more pop than worship, his message is clear no matter the sonic direction it takes: He loves Jesus, and he wants you to love Him, too.

A former member of electronic pop duo Surfaces, Frank bounded onto the faith-based music scene, becoming Billboard’s Top New Christian Artist of 2023 and garnering the biggest Christian album debut of 2024 with “Child of God.” Furthermore, the rising star recently earned two GMA Dove Awards with wins for both New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for “Good Day.”

In September, the viral sensation wrapped a sold-out headlining tour with fellow newcomer Josiah Queen providing direct support. Additionally, the emerging artist was just announced as one of next year’s headliners for 2025’s installment of Rock the Universe, Florida’s largest Christian music festival, which takes place each January at Universal Orlando Resort.
