Air1 New Song Feature: "I Know A Name" Elevation Worship & Brandon Lake

Elevation Worship and Brandon Lake team up for another moving collaboration on “I Know A Name.” Written by Lake, Steven Furtick, Hank Bentley and Jacob Sooter, the bright track builds to a commanding refrain that declares, “Dead things come alive in the name of Jesus.”

Extolling the character of God, the anthemic selection magnifies the grave-shaking power released when we call on the name of our Heavenly Father. Reminding us that He has dominion over life and death, “I Know A Name” draws from the truth found in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“When I recognize my own insufficiency, I make room for the One who is all-sufficient to step in,” shares Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown, who trades lead vocals with Lake on the fresh original. “I don’t have enough wisdom, don’t know how to get over this anxiety, don’t know if I’ve got enough strength to keep fighting, but I know the One who does. His name is Jesus, and He holds all authority in heaven and on earth.”

“We’re believing this song is going to give you faith to believe that dead things are going to come alive in 2025,” Lake adds. “We believe this is a song for your house, for your church, for your soul, for your spirit.”

Premiered during an Air1 Worship First event, “I Know A Name” builds on the ongoing partnership and friendship between Elevation Worship and Lake, who have previously recorded massive hits together, including “Praise,” “Grave Into Gardens” and “Lion,” among others.
