New Song Feature: "God of This Place" David Leonard

Where can I go from Your spirit? Where can I hide from Your presence, God?David Leonard asks in the first verse of his new song, “God of This Place.” Quoting directly from the poetry of Psalms, the prolific wordsmith goes on to proclaim that the presence of the Lord encompasses the whole of our lives, and His promise to never leave or forsake us still stands.

Inspiring the lyrics, Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT) goes on to say:

"I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.
If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me."

With his latest single, the “Light a Fire” singer drives a stake in the ground, declaring we are never out of the Father’s reach. His love relentlessly pursues us. Carrying a message of hope, “God of This Place” continues to showcase highly anticipated new music from the multifaceted artist, who’s finding his own voice while simultaneously supporting other creatives in their endeavors.

With songwriting credits on the most recent albums from Benjamin William Hastings, Pat Barrett and Jesus Culture, among others, the Arkansas native continues to build a solid reputation as an artist in his own right as he amps up both his release schedule and his tour itinerary with additional songs on the way and more chances for people to hear him live well into 2025.
