@Danny Gokey unites with @Naomi Raine (@Maverick City Music) for a powerful moment on “Can’t Help But Worship.” The unforgettable duet appears on Gokey’s brand new project, “Sound of Heaven,” his fifth studio album.

“When you encounter the glory of God, you just can’t help but worship,” Gokey affirms of the impetus behind the song.

The emotive ballad debuted exclusively during an Air1 Worship First event, giving listeners a glimpse into Gokey’s record before it officially dropped. While the “American Idol” alum has long been known as a storyteller and pop hitmaker, he expands his repertoire into worship territory on his latest effort, serving up another side to his artistry with a handful of worship originals that could easily be added to a Sunday morning setlist. For those well acquainted with Gokey’s heart for worship, this comes as no surprise. When he’s in town, the award-winning artist quietly leads worship — out of the spotlight — at his home church, The Belonging Co. in Nashville.

“Can’t Help But Worship” affords longtime fans the opportunity to experience Gokey’s capacity to lead people into the presence of God through moments of praise as easily as he’s able to entertain and wow audiences with his effortless vocal aptitude. And on “Sound of Heaven,” Gokey showcases every facet of his versatile musicality.

Meanwhile, Raine will be a part of Maverick City Music’s “Good News Tour,” launching Oct. 3, 2024, in Houston, Texas. The mother of three just released a deluxe version of her acclaimed solo collection, “Cover The Earth.” She also received an impressive five nominations for the upcoming 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards, including a prestigious nod for Song of the Year, as a co-writer on “More Than Able.” Moreover, out of six contenders, Raine is the only female honored in the 2024 Songwriter of the Year (Artist) bracket.
