CAIN might be best known for colorful pop gems like “Rise Up (Lazarus),” “I’m So Blessed” and “Any More,” but the group got their start leading worship; and their love for worship music shines through on their latest radio single, “Friend in Jesus.”
An unabashed offering of praise and adoration, the original song reveals the sibling trio pondering the depth of friendship they’ve discovered in a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

“Friend in Jesus” brings to mind the Scripture found in John 15:15, which says, “I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.” Furthermore, the worship anthem crescendos into a bridge that pulls lyrics from classic hymn “In the Garden.”
“We pray this song reminds you that you have a Savior, a Shepherd, a Healer, and a FRIEND in Jesus Christ!” the group shares of the emotive ballad, which first appeared as a live recording on 2023’s “Honest Offering.”

A studio version of “Friend in Jesus” is now available on the 18-track deluxe version of “Jesus Music,” CAIN’s sophomore LP. Additionally, the award-winning family band recently unveiled a music video for the powerful track, shot in the Pacific Northwest, which features Taylor, Logan and Madison ankle-deep in the ocean as waves make their way to shore along Oregon’s Cannon Beach coastline.
In addition to new music, CAIN is slated to release their first children’s book Aug. 13, 2024. Named after their hit song, “I’m So Blessed” introduces young readers to the concept of gratitude and a God who calls them His child on their best days and worst days alike.
