Do you have any unexplainable experiences apart from the power of God?
Perhaps there was a time when you were strapped financially, and God miraculously provided for your needs. Maybe you were ready to give up and attempted one final try, only for a breakthrough to occur.
I tucked my twins into bed last night - both of whom nearly died 17 weeks into my wife's pregnancy. I celebrated the 20th anniversary of my first sermon earlier this year.
Forrest Frank is experiencing a miraculous move of God.
If you've been on social media anytime this week, you've likely heard a song from Frank playing behind a video one of your friends posted.
Frank's meteoric rise has produced viral videos and multiple awards, leading many to envy and even label Frank an "overnight success." But in a podcast interview with Elevation YTH, Frank told the story of six or seven years of daily work writing lyrics, creating beats, and even filming videos. While it might seem like Frank's popularity came out of nowhere, the true story is that his faithful obedience and consistent work ethic planted the seeds of the harvest that God is now orchestrating.
Frank's single, "Lift My Hands," embodies the posture that led him to write and publish the song. The lyrics embody an attitude of whole-hearted worship and total praise.

"Lord I lift my hands (Lord I lift my hands)
I give all the praise to You
Everything I am (everything I am)
You gave me the strength to do."
The lyrics of "Lift My Hands" echo David's words in Psalm 9. There, we hear David lifting his hands.
"I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High."
Praise is often our response to God's movement in our lives. In an appearance at Liberty University's convocation, Frank shared the point where he was ready to retire as a pop artist, even discussing with his wife what kind of normal jobs he might pursue when he abandoned his musical pursuits.
Frank stated that despite his great success in his pop music career, his faith and his music felt separate in his mind. During that time, he felt led by God to start pulling back on that path, saying no to opportunities and essentially retiring from it.
One day, while in the shower, Frank experienced God "downloading the song Lift My Hands" into his head fully formed. He exited the shower, went downstairs to his piano, and captured the song. Releasing the song soon after, Frank was floored by the viral spread of "Lift My Hands. " He began to sense God might be up to something. Subsequently, Frank began to release music "like crazy" and saw God expand his reach beyond what he could have expected.
Listening to Frank's testimony and humble spirit reminded me of Paul's words to the Ephesian believers. "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then, you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever!"
This song and testimony feel a modern expression of 1 Corinthians 11:1, where Paul wrote, "Imitate me as I imitate Christ." In a world obsessed with appearance, the trapping of success, and the benefits of online popularity, Forrest Frank shares his testimony in a way that reminds listeners of the power of simple faithfulness and obedience to God. "Lift My Hands" is a joy-filled expression of praise and worship to God, who invites us to trust Him as we follow His voice in our lives today.
