Worship music has always been a big part of Baldwin’s life, as he would often play drums alongside his father, the pastor and worship leader of their local church. Before long, Josh would be playing the guitar and leading worship himself. For years, Baldwin led worship at Morningstar Ministries and Queen City Church, where he would meet and marry his wife, Sheila in 2010. During these years, Baldwin would often travel with artists such as Rita Springer, serving as a drummer in their shows, all while working on his own songwriting talents.
In 2008, Baldwin would release his debut album, “Changing”. Between playing drums for major artists, and leading worship at Morningstar and Queen City, Baldwin’s name started to get around. 2014 would be a major year in Baldwin’s career, as he released his second solo album, “Rivers”. Shortly after this release, Baldwin was asked to join Jenn Johnson's Church, which he continues to collaborate with today.

During his time with Jenn, this artist has released many popular songs both in a solo capacity, and with Worship Collectives. One of Baldwin’s biggest hits, “Stand In Your Love,” was released as a part of the Church’s 2019 album, “Victory”. Baldwin has also released three solo albums during this time, “The War Is Over,” “Evidence,” and 2022’s “Where The Glory Is”. With many memorable songs under his belt, Baldwin continues to share new, deeply personal worship sounds with us. We cannot wait to hear his next songs as they release in the near future.
Baldwin shares the realization that his authentic sound is the most desirable thing he can give his listeners. “It’s got me excited that I can just play music the way I used to just in my room, but I didn’t think people would want to hear it that way. Now the realization that if I just do what I’m used to doing and just put that out…that alone has unlocked all these dreams in my heart that I don’t think I even realized were there.”
