To all of you who came out to a listening party during the Road To Memento Mori tour, we would like to thank you very much! It was so wonderful to meet some of you for the first time! And to all of you that we have seen several times on other tours, it was such a sweet gift for us to see you again! Thank you so much. Woohoo!! New Flyleaf stuff!! Hey, if you haven't heard the new Flyleaf song "Again" from their upcoming album "Memento Mori", check it out on their revamped website. They have a ton of new stuff posted, including that new song, a video of Flyleaf in the recording studio and more goodies. :)

Have you heard the new David Crowder Band song, "How He Loves"? Rumor has it (through the DCB blog) that the first time David Crowder heard the original version of the song he was on a plane and it made him cry. He hoped he didn't scare the people sitting next to him! 

Dave himself blogged about what happened on the plane, too, so I'm tempted to believe the rumor.

By the way, the new DCB album "Church Music" comes out September 22nd, and in addition to this remake, they also cover a Flyleaf song. Sounds great to me!

YEAH!!! Flyleaf will be at this event called EXIT Las Vegas and it's not just Flyleaf you get for free ... Brian "Head" Welch (ex-Korn member) will be there, and so will Sonny from P.O.D. and Swedish metal/hard rockers Blindside.

It's August 29th in the Air 1 city of Las Vegas, NV. But you can get more details on the official EXIT Las Vegas website. 

Flyleaf guitarist, Sameer, is asking us to pray for his 22 year old cousin, Esther. She was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer in stage 4, the most advanced stage. Doctors told her that if she were older, they would've sent her home to spend the rest of her limited time in comfort. However, since she is 22, they are doing everything they can to help her. 

Flyleaf is also doing everything they can. Sameer says Esther is like a sister to him. She does not have insurance, and the treatments are very expensive. There is a website set up to get as much help as possible: helpsaveesther.com. I'm sure they'll appreciate knowing their Air 1 family is praying and helping. 

This kind of stuff always puts life in perspective. Check out what Esther herself has to say in her blog:

... we have the full faith that God is in total control of ALL things. Whether God grants me life or death in the near future, I know His plans are the most perfect ones, and it is such a joy to be alive and honestly doing GREAT today.

Flyleaf blew me away at the Rock and Worship Roadshow in Oklahoma City a few weeks ago. They did a medley of David Crowder Band's "You Are My Joy" and Hillsong's "From the Inside Out" (which is one of my personal faves). Unbelievable! Check it out in this video from Austin City Limits. I found the clip in a random guy's blog. Random guy, thank you for posting it. You rock!

By the way, there's a new Flyleaf album coming out soon ... we'll keep you posted!

I was lucky enough to catch Flyleaf Saturday night at the Rock and Worship Roadshow in Oklahoma City.  They're not part of every show on the tour, but Jeremy Camp couldn't make this one.  Normally, that would've been sad, right?  But then you're bringing in Flyleaf?!  I was extremely happy about that change!  ;)  Lead singer Lacey not only ROCKED the stage with the guys...she surprised me with an awesome worship set that included one of my favorite songs, Hillsong's "From the Inside Out". 

It. was. awesome.  Worship should be like that every Sunday.
